When you should stay on Google Workspace
- Your team collaborates in Docs, Sheets and Slides every day, and holds files in shared drives.
- You use Meet for client calls and want it under one admin and one bill.
- You rely on Google’s admin and security controls across those apps.

How to move from Google Workspace to GINbox
- Add your domain to GINbox and create a mailbox for each person. Mail keeps arriving at Google meanwhile.
- In the admin panel, open Move mail. Your Google administrator allows GINbox once in the Google Admin console (Domain Wide Delegation, read-only), and enters their address here. No one’s password is needed.
- Choose a mailbox size for each person and start. We copy every label as a folder, every message and its read status, in the background, and check that all of it arrived.
- When every mailbox shows Copied, change one DNS record (the MX record). We show you which, then keep collecting stray mail for three more days and delete every password we held.

Questions about leaving Google Workspace
Is GINbox cheaper than Google Workspace?
For email only, usually yes. Google’s India price page on 23 October 2026 listed Workspace Base at ₹99 and Starter at ₹270 per user per month, excluding GST, on an annual commitment, and advertised introductory offers on some plans. GINbox starts at ₹49 per mailbox per month billed yearly, GST extra, with no first-year discount that jumps at renewal. Google’s plans include Drive, Docs and Meet; GINbox does not.
What do I lose if I leave Google Workspace?
GINbox is email, not a suite. You would no longer have Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides or Meet in the same subscription, nor Google’s admin controls for them. Anyone can still create a free personal Google Account with an existing email address, such as a GINbox address, to keep using Docs and Drive, without Workspace’s business controls.
Can I keep my Gmail interface?
GINbox’s webmail is designed to feel familiar to Gmail users, with tabs, labels, search and keyboard shortcuts, in English or Hindi. You can also keep using the Gmail app on a phone, connected to your GINbox address through IMAP.
How do I move my mail from Google Workspace to GINbox?
In one step. Your Google Workspace administrator allows GINbox once in the Google Admin console, with read-only access, and GINbox copies every person’s mail: labels become folders, and read and starred marks come across. No one’s password is needed. Your Google MX record stays until you are ready to switch.
Can some people stay on Google Workspace?
Yes. With split delivery a few people keep Google Workspace and everyone else moves to GINbox, on the same domain and with the same addresses, so you pay Google only for the seats you need.
Will my Google Docs and Drive files move?
No. A move copies email only. Download your Drive files or keep a Google Account for them before you cancel Workspace.
