Effective date: 2026-10-17
These Terms are an agreement between Webzworld - Jitendra Desai, a Proprietorship with its registered office at 1318, Navjivan Commercial Society, Lamington Road, Mumbai 400 008, Mumbai, Maharashtra ("GINbox", "we", "us"), and the business or person that creates a GINbox account ("Customer", "you"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, adding a domain or paying for a plan, you accept these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Service Delivery Policy and the Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.
GINbox is a business service. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms on behalf of a business you are authorised to bind.
1. The service
1.1 GINbox provides email hosting on domains you own or are entitled to use: mailboxes with the storage of the plan you choose, aliases and forwarding, webmail, calendar and contacts, access from mail apps (IMAP, SMTP), spam and virus filtering, an admin panel for your domains, and tools to move existing mail to GINbox (the "Service").
1.2 Features may change as the Service improves. We will not remove a core function you pay for (sending and receiving mail, storage of your plan, access from mail apps and webmail) during a paid period without at least 30 days' notice and, where you choose to leave because of it, a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
1.3 Some features are offered only on request or as previews (for example AI help). They are optional, may be switched off by you or your administrator, and are described where they are offered.
2. Your account
2.1 You must give accurate account and billing details (including your GSTIN if you want a GST invoice) and keep them up to date.
2.2 You are responsible for everything done through your account and your mailboxes, by your users or by anyone who uses their credentials. Keep passwords secret, use two-step sign-in (required for domain administrators), and tell us at once at info@ginbox.net if you suspect misuse.
2.3 You are responsible for your users: that they are entitled to their mailbox, that they follow these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy, and for removing users who leave your business.
2.4 You may add only domains you own or are authorised to use. We verify ownership through DNS. If someone with a better right to a domain asks us to, we may remove it from your account after giving you an opportunity to respond, unless the law or an emergency requires faster action.
3. Acceptable use and anti-spam
3.1 Your use of the Service must follow the Acceptable Use Policy at all times. In particular, GINbox is for your business's own correspondence: no bulk, marketing or unsolicited email, no purchased or harvested lists, no phishing, malware or impersonation.
3.2 To protect every customer's ability to deliver mail, the Service applies automated controls: sending limits per plan (lower during a new account's first 14 days and during a free trial), automated checks of outgoing messages for spam and malware (done in memory as the message is sent; the content is not stored or read by a person), blocking of dangerous attachments, and monitoring of bounce and complaint rates.
3.3 We may, without prior notice where needed to stop ongoing harm: hold or refuse an outgoing message, pause sending from a mailbox or domain, suspend sign-in, or suspend the account (see section 8). We will tell you what happened and how to restore the Service, unless the law prevents us from doing so.
4. Your content
4.1 You and your users own your mail, contacts, calendars and files ("Your Content"). We claim no rights in it except the permission needed to store, transmit, back up, filter and display it in order to provide the Service.
4.2 We do not read Your Content, sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train any AI model. People at GINbox access a mailbox's content only (a) when you or your administrator ask us to help with a specific problem, (b) to investigate a security incident or abuse affecting the Service, or (c) when the law requires it — and each access is recorded.
4.3 You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having the right to send, receive and store it, including any personal data of others it contains. For personal data in Your Content you are the Data Fiduciary and GINbox processes it on your behalf as your Data Processor under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
4.4 GINbox acts as an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 for content that you and your users send, receive and store. We do not initiate those transmissions, select their recipients or modify their content. We will act on a court order or a lawful direction from an authorised government agency as the law requires, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
5. Plans, fees and taxes
5.1 Plans are priced per mailbox per month or per year according to the storage you choose, as shown on our pricing page at the time you buy. Prices are in Indian Rupees and exclude GST, which is added at the applicable rate. We issue a GST tax invoice for every payment.
5.2 Payments are processed by our payment partner, a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
5.3 Renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, using the payment method you authorised, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will tell you at least 7 days before a renewal that will be charged automatically and at least 30 days before a price increase applies to you.
5.4 Non-payment. If a renewal payment fails, we will tell you and retry. If the amount is still unpaid 7 days after it was due, sending from your mailboxes is paused (mail is still received). If it remains unpaid 60 days after it was due, the account may be closed and its data deleted as described in section 9 — we warn you before that.
5.5 Free trial. A free trial gives limited mailboxes for a limited period as stated when you start it, with no payment required. If no plan is chosen by the end of the trial, mailboxes keep receiving mail but stop sending, and they are deleted 60 days after the trial ends; we warn you before deletion.
5.6 Refunds are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Our commitments
6.1 We take reasonable care to keep the Service available, secure and your mail safe: mail is stored with integrity checks, the database is backed up continuously with an encrypted off-site copy, and restores are tested regularly.
6.2 Planned maintenance is done without interrupting mail where possible; if an interruption is unavoidable we give notice in advance.
6.3 We keep Your Content in the location described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
7.1 Email depends on networks, other providers and the recipient's systems that we do not control. We do not guarantee that every message will be delivered to every recipient, reach the inbox rather than a spam folder, or be delivered within a particular time, nor that our spam and virus filtering will catch every unwanted or harmful message.
7.2 Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all other warranties to the extent the law permits.
7.3 You should keep your own copy of mail you cannot afford to lose; the Service includes export through standard mail apps (IMAP) at any time.
8. Suspension
8.1 We may suspend all or part of the Service immediately and, where possible, with notice, if: (a) you or a user breach the Acceptable Use Policy or these Terms; (b) an account appears compromised; (c) your use threatens the security, integrity, availability or sending reputation of the Service or of other customers; (d) payment is overdue as described in section 5.4; or (e) the law, a court or an authorised agency requires it.
8.2 Suspension is limited to what is needed to stop the harm (for example sending only, or one mailbox). Mail continues to be received during a sending suspension. We restore the Service once the cause is fixed.
9. Ending the agreement; your data
9.1 You may cancel at any time from the admin panel or by writing to info@ginbox.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless the Refund and Cancellation Policy says otherwise.
9.2 We may terminate for a material breach that is not fixed within 15 days of notice, immediately for a serious or repeated breach of the Acceptable Use Policy (including spam, phishing or malware), or with 90 days' notice if we stop offering the Service (with a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period).
9.3 After cancellation or termination you have 30 days to export Your Content (any mail app over IMAP works); deleted mailboxes can be restored during that time. After that, Your Content is deleted from the Service and from backups as they expire. Tax invoices and records the law requires us to keep are retained for the required period.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify GINbox, its directors and staff against third-party claims, regulatory penalties and reasonable costs (including blocklist-removal costs and legal fees) arising from Your Content, from you or your users breaching these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy (including sending spam, phishing or malware, or infringing someone's rights), or from your violation of law.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill.
11.2 Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11.3 Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your obligation to pay fees, or your liability under section 10.
12. Confidentiality and security
Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential. We protect Your Content with encryption in transit, access controls, logging of administrative access, and the measures described in the Privacy Policy, and we will notify you of a personal data breach affecting Your Content without undue delay and as the law requires (including CERT-In's reporting directions).
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice by email and in the admin panel before they apply to you; if you do not accept them you may cancel before they take effect and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period.
14. Grievance Officer and notices
Questions, complaints and notices: Grievance Officer — Anirudh Yadav, info@ginbox.net, +91-22-40041498, 1318, Navjivan Commercial Society, Lamington Road, Mumbai 400 008, Mumbai, Maharashtra. We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require. Abuse and spam reports: abuse@ginbox.net.
15. General
15.1 Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes that cannot be settled by good-faith discussion within 30 days will be resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by a sole arbitrator, seated at Maharashtra, in English; courts at Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction for interim relief.
15.2 Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
15.3 You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of the business on notice to you. If any part is unenforceable the rest remains in force. These Terms, with the documents they refer to, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
